Lost wallet or card
- If merely misplaced, temporarily lock it in the issuer app while searching.
- If lost/stolen, promptly report it to the issuer for cancellation/replacement and review recent charges. A freeze is not a theft report.
- Ask about hotel delivery and temporary payment options. Timing and availability are not guaranteed.

Amex freeze ends automatically after 7 days; some digital-wallet/recurring transactions can still post. Collect calls may require operator assistance and mobile/roaming fees may apply. No replacement-delivery promise.
Lost passport
If traveling on a U.S. passport: contact U.S. consular services promptly and state your flight date. Reporting it lost/stolen invalidates it, even if later found. Replacement requires an in-person application; a photocopy cannot replace your passport for flying home.
Bring available ID, citizenship/passport copy, 2×2-inch passport photo, itinerary, DS-11 and fees. Consular staff can advise if something is missing. An emergency limited-validity passport may be possible, not guaranteed.
Your return is SundayOct 25. Mexico passport services require appointments and are unavailable weekends/U.S. or Mexican holidays. Do not wait until airport departure.
